DISCLEAN L.O.

MAGNUS DISCLEAN L.O. is a most unusual product that has been designed to perform a very difficult cleaning job. DISCLEAN L.O. has been found to be one of the most effective cleaners for removing heavy buildup and sediment deposits in the separator bowl and disc set in marine lube oil and fuel oil separators. The use of highly alkaline lubricating oil has a tendency to cause heavy deposits in the separator because of low or too high flow rate, temperature variation, or wrong choice of gravity disc sets. The use of DISCLEAN L.O. can eliminate these problems by providing a cleaning method that removes these deposits without the necessity of dismantling the disc sets.

USES

MAGNUS DISCLEAN L.O. is a unique blend of solvents, couplers, wetting agents and inhibited acid. Product should be added to water at a rate of 10-25% by volume. Higher concentration can be used depending on severity of soil. Cleaning solution can be used cold, but faster and more thorough cleaning will occur when heated to 43°C to 63°C (110°F to 140°F). When properly set up for circulation, the separator can be cleaned in place.

Cleaning time will be from 1 to 3 hours, depending on heat and severity of soil. When unit is clean, rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Even though this is an acid product, no neutralization is required.

PRECAUTION

As working with any acid, precaution should be exercised to avoid prolonged contact with skin. If contact is made with eyes, flush with water and seek medical attention.          

STORAGE

Store in a cool place in original container and protect from direct sunlight.
